Do you have a day job? And name two things you really like about it.

ok, pilocase: i’d consider music my job. i love the community, and the music i make.

What is a comfort food that you really like, that you wish was healthier? What do you like about it? What does it remind you of?

ok, pilocase: buffalo chicken pizza.my favorite food in the entire fucking world, i’d die for a slice right now. it tastes good as fuck and it reminds me of my bandmate because he got meoff the peperoni train.

When your family gets together, what do you do?And what do you wish you did?

ok, pilocase: i just talk to them. most of them are pretty chill except my mom. i wish i had eaten more last time because we got indian food and i went to the bathroom and when i got back it was all gone.

What’s a song or artist you used to “hate,” but you’re into recently? Why do you like it? What stopped you from liking it before?

ok, pilocase: i used to dislike “ghost orchard” but i’ve grown fond of his music recently

What do you feel is going to get better in the next ten years?

ok, pilocase: my success in music and my confidence in myself.

What have you failed at personally–not professionally–that you’re still working on?

ok, pilocase: being confident, being outgoing, achieving my goals.

What’s the biggest professional mistake you’ve ever made and what did you learn from it?

ok, pilocase: i try not to make a whole lot of mistakes, im very careful, but i didnt show up to a show one time because a family member had gotten very hurt and the venue got mad at me :(((

What’s your favorite song of all time and why? (Tough question. Do your best.)

ok, pilocase: oh my god it took me like 10 minutes to think of it. it’s probably country roads. i just cant stand it. people still think its funny for some reason.

ok, pilocase: probably the first time i went into a music store, it was like a whole new world.

What time did you feel most connected with the world and human beings?

ok, pilocase: i used to be very outgoing before i got really heartbroken and fell into a big stage of depression. i used to hang out with my friends a lot before that, so probably then.

Chromatic Tales Juda Jay

Do you have a day job? And name two things you really like about it?

Juda Jay: No day job, I did have one beofre in Aerospace but I quit to go all in with my music, I decided life is to short not to go for what you want. While living in Paris I did my studies in Supply Chain always knowing my passion was music. So I quit and opened a recording studio. Now I juggle my time between my recording studio and recording my own personal projects.

What is a comfort food that you really like, that you wish was healthier? What do you like about it? What does it remind you of?

Juda Jay: For me being a California boy Tacos are a guilty pleasure of mine. I am trying to go vegan but have been struggling to give up tacos. I mean I guess I could always go vegan tacos with beyong or impossible plant based meat but the transition isint as easy as a lot of Vegans make it sound. lol

When your family gets together, what do you do?And what do you wish you did?

Juda Jay: My family is from the south, Louisanna, so when they get together it is usually around the dinner table or in my mom rooms, she is like the head honcha of the family and everything really revolves around her. I wish we would take more family vacations together but it can be difficult wit everyones schedules, work, school, and kids.

What’s a song or artist you used to “hate,” but you’re into recently? Why do you like it? What stopped you from liking it before?

Juda Jay: A artist I use to hate a lot was Kanye because of his whole fake freeThinker publicity stunt he did a few months back, it kinda tarnished the real image of free thinkers of Hip Hop I have been trying to promote. I honestly got back into his music because hes really talented as long as he dosent talk to much. lol. When he actaully does stop ranting I think he can produce some of the best Hip Hop and cross over music our genration has seen and really pushes the envelope.

What do you feel is going to get better in the next ten years?

Juda Jay: In the next 10years I see more people becoming free thinkers, living with intenton, eating healthier, and doing what they love. I feel my generation is going to switch up the game and break out of the mold of working at a dead end job untill they die. Atleast I really hope so.

What have you failed at personally–not professionally–that you’re still working on?

Juda Jay: Im still working on playing festivals. I have only played 2 in my life, and am thirsty for more. besides that still working on improving my singing voice, but thats a whole other story.

What’s the biggest professional mistake you’ve ever made and what did you learn from it?

Juda Jay: The biggest mistake I think is not trusting the vibes I was getting from situation, I know when people want something bad enough somtimes they ignore the signs telling them its wrong, and when I did this it definetly bit me in the ass. What I learned now from the music industry if it dosent feel right DONT DO IT. Our instrincts and senses are are best tools for avoiding issues in the game

What’s your favorite song of all time and why? (Tough question. Do your best.)

Juda Jay: Europe – The Final countdown. I just feel like this is the song I will play right before I die, so epic! If not that than, in Hip Hop, I would say Nas – If I ruled the world. This beat is so hip hop, it made me want to make music to.

What’s your most favorite place you’ve ever been and why? Doesn’t have to be travel related.

Juda Jay: Paris, definitely, why because I lived there for almost 10 years. I use to be an international exchange student and decided to stay, illegally, for a while, that while ended up being 10 years, while living they I had some many crazy experiences and memories It feels like I wasn’t there for that long but at the same time feels like I was there for a lifetime.

What time did you feel most connected with the world and human beings?

Juda Jay: I feel most connected with my GVO’s, which are other free thinker who see how fucked up the world and can think critically about it. My GVO’s are like the ones who made it out of the Matrix, they get it.

If you had one reunion with all the friends and family you wanted, what activity would you all do?

Juda Jay: I would go to Africa, maybe Morocco or Senegal and rent a huge house and party with all my loved one for a weekend, Nothing to special just spend quality time, eating, talking, catching up, and chilling

What is your name and your band/project’s name? Where can we find you on the internet?

Juda Jay is the name, and I have 3 Projects pending now leading up to my new Album “Strickly for my GVO’s 2′ produced by Old Thug Harmonics. The first is my single Honey dropping January 1st which was produced by BLV and good friend of mine I met in Paris. This single took one year in the making for everything so really excited to release. After that I have another single Called Empathy, Which is a cross over Hip Hop, EDM, Opera ft Triin Lellep and a close DJ friend of mine DJ Just Kill.

That was, until they moved to Philadelphia. In 2017 the group self-released their debut album, Babe. The album tackles suicide and substance abuse with the wry wit of a barstool prophet. The tracks “Country Song” and “Ow, My Tiny Heart” were featured on the Showtime series Billions. After moving to Philadelphia in 2018, the band signed with Medical Records and released their sophomore album, Foul. The album is about things that have happened and ways they’ve felt since Babe. A bunch of fun topics like drug use, paranoia, and losing hope. In support of Foul, the band went on three tours including a sold-out East Coast tour with Car Seat Headrest and Naked Giants.

Don Babylon: This album is about things that have happened and ways we’ve felt since we released the last record. A bunch of fun topics like drug use, paranoia, and losing hope. With some luck people will enjoy this, and the next record will be less about how broke we are.

Chromatic Tales Big Flowers

Do you have a day job? And name two things you really like about it.

I used to work as a line cook while I went to school but now I’ve made collage my job while I finish my degree. I get to make my own hours, choose my projects and spread my network in a really natural way, and I love the aesthetic you can get with paper. It’s been a blessing to be able to do music off a budget that’s fueled by my other art.

What is a comfort food that you really like, that you wish was healthier? What do you like about it? What does it remind you of?

I don’t know if it’s conventional comfort food but there’s this Lebanese snack called Kibbeh and when you fry it it’s really not the best for you but it’s so crispy and delicious. Imagine a meatball meeting a dumpling but the dumpling is also made of the filling, if that makes sense? You can make them with nearly anything, pumpkin has got to be my favorite.

When your family gets together, what do you do?And what do you wish you did?

At this point we’re all grown so me and my three sisters are rarely home at the same time, but when we do it’s really just chill. There’s always scrabble, and I usually wipe floor with the competition haha. I try not to look at family like “what do I wish” just because I’m always going to love them regardless, and I want them to be what they want to be and do what they want to do.

What’s a song or artist you used to “hate,” but you’re into recently? Why do you like it? What stopped you from liking it before?

Super recently I fell for Uzi. I still don’t love a lot of his billboard stuff but damn, Luv is Rage is so amazing. I slept on it forever just because this one scrubby forehead ass dude, only person I’ve ever thrown hands with, was such a stan of Uzi. I’m tight now because I missed out on so much, but this Fustal Shuffle goes so off and I was here for that, lol.

What do you feel is going to get better in the next ten years?

Any mode of creativity has nothing but room to grow as long as the contemporary culture behind it dedicates to the progression of the craft.

What have you failed at personally–not professionally–that you’re still working on?

Time, I just never seem to have enough and I never plan it the right way. I’ve missed out on so many things just because my time was kept poorly, and I’m working on it, it just takes time lol.

What’s the biggest professional mistake you’ve ever made and what did you learn from it?

One time I dated my bosses daughter, that was a terrible experience, and I feel like the lesson is pretty evident.

What’s your favorite song of all time and why? (Tough question. Do your best.)

These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You) – Thelonious Monk this was the easiest question so far.

What’s your most favorite place you’ve ever been and why? Doesn’t have to be travel related.

Young World at Abrons Art Center. If you were there you get it. If not I think they’re doing it next year.

What time did you feel most connected with the world and human beings?

Right now, every day goes by I really feel more and more a part of everything. I grew up with a disconnect, but I’m moving with the current at this time in my life, and I feel in a comfortable pocket of contemporaries, which brings me a lot of joy and opportunities.

If you had one reunion with all the friends and family you wanted, what activity would you all do?

Super Smash Bros. this is an invitation to anybody who thinks they can take on my Wii Fit Trainer l come big body with the green tank top, and I’m accepting challenges.

What is your name and your band/project’s name? Where can we find you on the internet?

My name is Michael but I release music under Big Flowers. You can search for big flowers but you won’t really find anything related to me, just large flowers, which are honestly really nice to look at instead. If you want to tap in to me though my Instagram is @bigflowers.jpg where I keep the content the most current.
